Competition of One, or C1 as it’s known, is a lifestyle brand that works to keep the focus on the individual and their mission statement is something to admire: Inspire and empower athletes of all levels, gender, and age to realize their greatest potential starts within.
When setting out to create this logo, I wanted to communicate reflection, energy, movement, and triumph. Reflection because C1 embodies the “you vs. you” philosophy to a ‘T.’ Energy and movement are communicated through the resemblance of wings: constant movement/fitness. And triumph because the C1 goal is to constantly compete against ourselves; each day is a victory, and tomorrow a new battle will be waiting. This triumph is achieved with lines that mimic those of a raised arms in a ‘V.’
